CDL Driver

Davey Coach Sales is the nation-wide leader in van and bus sales. We have an immediate opening for a Class A or B CDL Driver in our ever growing office in Sedalia, CO. This position is a part-time, flex/on-call van and bus delivery position with opportunity for over-the-road deliveries, and local deliveries.

IDEAL FOR SOMEONE INTERESTED IN PICKING UP EXTRA SHIFTS!

Your responsibilities would Include but are not limited to:

• Operate all vehicle types driven, safety and responsibly
• Follow all assigned and agreed upon delivery schedules and routing
• Follow and comply with all traffic laws and company policies
• Follow and comply with all, applicable DOT regulations – license compliance, driver logs, post-accident testing, medical certificates, etc.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensure vehicles are clean inside from trash and debris prior delivery
• Immediate communication with management if transport is interrupted for any reason – lost, delivery delay, accident, law enforcement, no one to receive vehicle at delivery, etc.
• Professional and consistent communication with all destination contacts (customers), properly representing the company
• Complete vehicle washing and fueling requirements prior delivery, as instructed by management
• Provide and deliver all vehicle documents and keys at delivery; if asked to by customer, provide brief demonstration on vehicle operations, properly representing the company
• Obtain and collect any assigned documents from the customer at delivery – signed delivery receipts, titles, check payments, etc.

You will need to have:

• Valid commercial driver’s license, class A or B, with air brake endorsement
  • At least two (2) years before expiration date
  • A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience driving commercial vehicles, full-time
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Must be detail oriented
• Ability to work well under the pressure of meeting tight deadlines in a timely manner.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour + per diem
