Davey Coach Sales is the leader in van and bus sales in Colorado and across the country. We have an immediate opening for a Fabrication Technician in our ever growing office. You will be responsible for responsible for for meeting the upfit and custom additions to sold buses; following the specifications set in the Buyers Order.  Additional responsibilities include performing light-heavy maintenance and service work.

Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Remove, relocate, and/or install seats in new or reconditioned vehicles.  This includes removing all frames, hardware and tracking in the floor. 
  • Replace the floor of commercial vans and buses. 
  • Remove, relocate, and install heaters, including installation of all electrical components associated with the heater.
  • Complete manufacturer seat recalls, as per the factory.  This includes removing and reinstalling various seat harnesses including the electrical circuitry.
  • Perform advanced, basic and minor repairs as required.
  • Communicate with the Senior Shop Lead to keep all vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery.
  • Remove and replace seat covers to meet the specifications outlined in the Buyer’s order.
  • Fabricate bike and ski racks and luggage walls; ensuring materials are cut to specifications, wrapped in vinyl and installed.
  • Install carpet and kickboards by cutting wood and carpet to meet the dimensions of the vehicle.
  • Installation of windows, including he removal of existing windows, and water testing of all windows.
  • Replace front and rear steel bumpers when damaged or rusted.
  • Remove and replace lighting as necessary, including signs, marker and head, rear lights.
  • Install floor restraints and stanchion pipes, covid shields when necessary

You will need to have:

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • 1-2 years of electrical, welding and plasma cutter experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Knowledge of using manufacturers’ service and repair manuals.
  • Utilize all required safety equipment, follows proper repair procedures and adheres to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal.
  • Keep the personal work area organized and clean, return tools and maintain parts/materials carts in an organized manner.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
